Education Sponsorships: Cost Background for Transportation Fund
The cost for licenced and insured bus transportation can
range between $200 to $500 dollars, depending on distance and time spent
at the Nature Centre. The school or youth group will be advised of the
individual sponsors who made their visit possible on the literature they
receive as part of the tour. The sponsor will receive verification that
they have made a donation and that it was used only for this purpose.
To give an example, the cost to cover bus transportation for a local
elementary school for one trip is $200. There are 20 local elementary
schools in our area therefore on the basis of 2 trips per year we need
$8000 in transportation sponsorships for 2007.
Interpretive Display Sponsorships: Cost Background
The displays outside the Centre are made of very high
quality materials to withstand UV rays and extreme temperatures so that
they may serve the public for an extended period. Costs range from $1200
to $2200 per presentation, with ongoing maintenance and display changes
supported by visitor donations and our generous sponsors.
General Sponsorship Information
- Approximately 90% of your sponsorship dollar is used for educational programs while 10% is used for administrative costs. Please visit us and see your dollar working for the community.
- Funds received for specific purposes will be used only for the intended purpose. An acknowledgment will be sent to the Sponsor within fourteen days of receipt of the contribution and will specify the amount contributed as well as the purpose for which the funds will be used.
- We are a provincially registered, not-for-profit organization. As such, your sponsorship is tax deductable.
