Film Festival International Year of the Forest

September 21, 2011 7:00 pm

As part of the International Year of the Forest Film Festival ABNC is pleased to bring a free screening of a selection of their films on Wednesday, September 21st at 7pm. Bring a chair and a blanket for this screening under the stars.

To celebrate the Year of Forests 2011, the United Nations Forum on Forests Secretariat commissioned the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival to organize an International Forest Film Festival (IFFF) contest and to make films available to public. Upon request, JHWFF recently made films available to us for numerous local screenings.

Over five nights at venues in the Vernon area a total of 16 International Forest Films will be presented during National Forest Week (September 18-24, 2001). The films are being presented in collaboration with Students Without Borders Academy, Bishop Wild Bird Foundation, and the Allan Brooks Nature Centre Society. All screenings are free to public, so mark your calendars and come out to one or more of these events.
