Participants in the 23rd annual NCDAV Charity Fundraising Golf Tournament at Spallumcheen Golf & Country Club were all delighted Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015 with the balmy weather and great on course conditions. Allan Brooks Nature Centre was chosen this year as one of two charities to take home a share the proceeds.
During the 23 year history of the event players and teams have collectively raised over $200K. This year, a total of over $11,000 was raised during the event. A total of 23 teams representing New Car Dealers Association of Vernon member organizations and/or their supplier businesses took part in the event.
It was an exciting day under partly sunny skies with winds out of the west playing a factor all afternoon. At the end of the day, it was a stacked leader board with 2nd and 3rd place both finishing at -11. But it was Vernon Morning Star who took home the 1st Place Prize with a team total of 12 under par. Bannister Honda 1 won the Speed Round competition with a blistering time of 31.7 seconds.
