of Group Programs
- Birthday
Parties
Imagine the memories you can create by celebrating your special birthday at the Allan Brooks Nature Centre! Birthday celebrations include a scavenger hunt with a prize for the first pair to complete the hunt; self-guided exploration of the Display Exhibits and the Grassland Trail; picnic area for refreshments; and a special certificate for the birthday child. Fee is $10 per child. For use of the grounds only (no scavenger hunt or access to the indoor displays), the fee is $5 per child. Please contact
us to make arrangements for all birthday party activities and registration.
- Weddings
The Allan Brooks Nature Centre has the perfect picturesque backdrop
for all wedding memories, as well as a sheltered area for a small reception
or ceremony. Regretfully, we can only accommodate small wedding parties
so as not to infringe on the enjoyment of all our other visitors. All
members of the wedding party and guests will be charged regular admission
to the site, and the newly-weds will receive a gift of an annual family
membership.
- Daycamps
Are the children in your daycamp looking for new adventures and day
trips? Why not bring them up to the Allan Brooks Nature Centre to explore
the grassland ecosystems! Children of all ages may spend their time
watching the marmots and other wildlife outside, take in a guided tour
of the exhibits, or play with a whole new realm of nature toys in the
Discovery Room. Please contact us to
pre-register your group.
- Group
Picnics
Looking for an interesting activity that your entire group at the office,
retirement home, social club, service club, or sporting venue can partake
in for a relaxing get-to-know-you outing? Why not have a picnic at the
Allan Brooks Nature Centre! You can enjoy the spectacular view at any
time of day, engage in wildlife watching for local grassland species,
become educated with a guided tour, or even assist us in our weed management
of the six hectare site.
