Allan Brooks Nature Centre is proud to be a Partner Organization in the Stewards of the Future Program. This is an exciting province-wide new high-school and youth initiative, introduced by the Honourable Judith Guichon, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia,
The Stewards of the Future program supports young British Columbians in exploring their own communities, discovering and documenting unique attributes, identifying and researching key issues of concern, and investigating stewardship initiatives.
Stewards of the Future offers:
- Funding to cover costs such as transportation, supplies, and hiring Teachers on Call
- Activities designed to incorporate the curriculum while engaging students in outdoors, hands-on learning
- Guidance, Contacts, and Resources to facilitate completion of the program
- Recognition from the Lieutenant Governor including a certificate of completion, promotion of the project on our website, potential participation in future conferences, and more.
