The Nature Trailer is currently available for booking between December and April. Limited bookings are available. Please use the calendar below to select your top 3 preferred dates for a Allan Brooks Nature Trailer visit!

Please no dated electronics, computer monitors printers or large appliances
Items can be dropped off at the Centre from mid-April to Friday, May 26th (10am – 4pm daily). If these times are inconvenient, please call the Centre at 250-260-4227 to make alternate arrangements for pick up.
Proceeds go towards the development and promotion of nature education programs & the purchase of learning resource materials for the Allan Brooks Nature Centre.
Got Bats? Join the BC Bat Count.
Got Bats? Join the BC Bat Count. An evening for volunteers and homeowners who would like to learn about bat conservation and bat population monitoring by participating in citizen science through bat counts. Join Okanagan Community Bat Program Coordinator, Paula Rodriguez de la Vega for a one-hour slideshow followed by a field trip to a site where we will count bats.
Friday, June 2 from 7pm – 10pm.

Dress for spending time outside.
Lawn chair or something to sit on.
Paper and pencil.
7-8pm- Bat presentation (indoors with Audio-Visuals) at ABNC
8:15pm – depart to Field Site. (by Ellison Prov. Park)
8:40pm – arrive at Field Site. Designate who counts where.
9pm – 10pm – bat count at Field Site

Take in a family adventure with the night sky for an evening of great viewing. Local members of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) will gather at the Allan Brooks Nature Centre and guide our journey through the sky.
Admission is by donation with all proceeds helping to support Allan Brooks Nature Centre.
Our First Peoples’ Celebration event is to celebrate our neighbours culture and heritage. Through engaging activities and educational presentations we will introduce the people of the Okanagan to different experiences. Our continuing mission is to be a community leader of education and nature-related activities in the area.

Engage in hands-on natural learning with Allan Brooks Nature Centre Summer Camps! Summer programs are offered by age group on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and run July 4 to August 24, 2017. With a different theme every week!

Half Day Camps run from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, Full Day Camps run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Our Programs offer hands on nature experiences in a fun learning environment. Each session is customized for the age group indicated.
Half Day: $20 for members, $30 for non-members
Full Day: $40 for members, $55 for non-members
Experience a one hour encounter with some of nature’s most amazing predators. The Raptor Encounter Course will allow participants to get close and personal with several different birds of prey, including an owl, a hawk and a falcon!
Hold a hawk or an owl on your glove as you learn about how we work with them and why they are so important in our ecosystems. Witness the speed and agility of the falcons as it dives above you and be thrilled when you release the hawk and it returns to your gloved arm. It’s an experience you’ll never forget!
Looking to do it all? Book a combination ticket for an Encounter Course and Flight Demonstration for only $70 *Fees and taxes not included. Ages 8 and up.
